Cask-conditioned on gravity at the Avon Valley Railway beer festival 4/6/2016. Deep copper, with a decent, off-white, head. A malty beer, with some citrus character, sweetish malts, a touch of caramel, and some leafy hops, before a moderately bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at the Fat Cat, Kelham Island, Sheffield. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is caramel toffee, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big hop bitter nutty malt palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - toffee and biscuits, a light prune note too. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a rich but fairly good finish. Overall - interesting but complex, if not as refreshing as I’d prefer.

Cask at the Haymarket. Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of creamy, nutty toffee. Taste is nutty, dry, chalky finish. Bit too dry, tannins coming though.
