Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with an off white to almost tan quarter finger's head. Sliding lacing.
Aroma: meshes an absolutely wonderful blend of piney/resinous hops to roasty & toasty malts with smooth coffee beans
Flavor: takes the piney/resinous hops to sweetly blend with the roast to add that ample bitter character, nice piney & roasty aftertaste
Texture: medium bodied with lotsa smoothness, minimal bitter sharpness
Overall: absolutely wonderful Black IPA, exceptionally worthy of returning to

Can from the packie.
Pours a dark brown color with garnet at the edges, and a large frothy rocky tan head that shows great retention. Old school pine and resin hit the nose as soon as liquid meets glass. light caramel roastiness to counter. More roast and bitter chocolate in the flavor with a lingering resinous bitterness. Creamy luscious mouthfeel up front but light hop astringency lingers in the finish. Overall pretty solid from a style I don't see much anymore. Great beer after clearing the snow off the driveway.

Dark brown to black with a tall tan head. Big pine notes, roasted malts, citrus fruit, dark chocolate, savory, and tree sap. Medium bodied. Finish has pine, roasted malts and that savory note. A style that I haven’t seen in a long time but brings back fond memories.

44cl can. Pours dark brown, close to black with a fairly large, tanned head. Toasty and hoppy aroma; citrus, licorice, roasted malt, pine and hints of caramel. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Nice mixture of roasty and hoppy, quite enjoyable.

On tap at KEG Budapest. Blackish coloured, medium sized pale beige head, piney and light roasty nose. Roasted malt, piney, light chocolate and coffee with rather bitter finish. Not bad at all.

Lots of fresh hops up front. The roasted malt is there in the finish with a touch of coffee too.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is very piney with orange, tropical notes, roasted malt, piney hop, touch of coffee with more pine resin in the finish. Medium bitter and light sweetish. Good mouthfeel, love it.
