Blik geprobeerd op vakantie. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een wat rode gloed en een stevig beige schuim. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig, licht bitter en wat wrang.

Can at home from local off license. Pours dark dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is weak, vague bit of malt but not much there really. Taste is similar, not much to it, not nothing really unpleasant. Bit of toasty malt, bit of grain and bit of lager. Exactly what you might expect really. Perfectly drinkable, by not exactly mind blowing. Ok. Maybe a bit fizzy if I had to pick holes.

22.08.2019, 0,35l can @ hotel room at Narita Airport:
Nice bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry roasted, hay, weeds, minerals, roasted grain, bark, toast, popcorn, soil, hints of licorice. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, paper, hay, soil, hints of roasted grain and licorice. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and harsh metallic mouthfeel. So boring.

Deep dark brown coloured body that does look almost black, all with a very nice, strong two to three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, oatmeal, prunes and a touch of raisins. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt and oatmeal flavours dominate with a light cream and lactose note and a touch of nuts and earthiness coming towards the end, but the flavours and malt are quite smooth with no sort of alcohol flavours at all. Aftertaste shows the roasted malt, deep oatmeal and lactose notes with creaminess and a touch of caster sugar towards the end, but the dry flavour and mouthfeel remain, making this quite easy-to-drink and fairly one-dimensional throughout. Overall, a fairly nice beer that to me, drinks as a dry stout, so to have this have ale like flavours and complexity, especially on the malt perspective, while being a lager is an extremely positive thing. I sampled this 350 mL blue can purchased a few minutes ago from World Liqour Mart (YaMaYa?) in Daimon, Tokyo, Japan on 05-August-2019 for 267JPY sampled in my hotel room here in Tokyo, Japan, on 05-August-2019.

dark brown colour, moderate sized beige head; aroma of unripe plum, berriess and slight apple, toasted rye bread notes, and some minimal burnt notes;taste is also dominated by unripe fruity-sourish notes with some dark chocolate and toaste rye bread notes; well, not a masterpiece

Near black with a thin tan head. A bit of sweet cocoa, caramel malt, light vanilla cream, light toffee. Medium but light body. Finish is sweet and then dry. Not so bad.

Draught @ Mount Takao Beer Mount, Tokyo. Okay, slightly sweetish and earthy dark lager with hints of roastiness.
