Old Dreadful was born in the depths of Winter and spent half a year sulking in French oak hogsheads before emerging in time for Summer. Just dreadful.

Can. Bronze with a near cm of pale beige head that gone after a little while. Aroma is bready and earthy with oak, toffee and spice notes. Taste is pretty sweet at first with bread, toffee and some stewed fruit gradually reeled in by somewhat peppery bitterness, booze and oak. Is there a little feral vinous thing? Yeah, not obviously a beer to release in summer, even in Tassie. I like the way the bitterness gradually grips. Always very pleased to see Ocho beers on the big island. Good.
