By keykeg at GBBF Winter, Defiant Bar. 6 % abv Shared with Finn and BeerViking. Black in the glass, lacing rings from a slowly diminishing beige head. Roasted malty nose, mid-sweet. Choco-coffee flavours, a bit ashy. Malt-driven ending, hints of liquorice. Medium bodied. Like it. (Birmingham 04.02.2020).

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark mahogany with a frothy, long-lasting, light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, light smoke, light creamy caramel. The flavour is dry smoky roast, light bitter hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

500ml bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Schools Are Back In Tasting! Pours opaque dark brown, thick bubbly tan head. Aromas of light fruits, figs, cocoa. Taste is dark stone fruit, thin, watery. Not a lot going on for the strength.
