On tap at Peders, pours jet black, no head. Aroma is like a Snickers candy bars, with chocolate-covered peanuts, lots of sugars, and a touch of bourbon. Flavour is a diabetes bomb, with intensely cloying sugars, with liquid, sweet Snickers bars dominating. I don’t notice the barrels or anything else besides caramel and sugars. Not a good Broward County variant.

Bottle shared at the craft beer junction bermondsey tasting. Many thanks. A thick dark brown black coloured pour with a fading tan head. Aroma is semi sweet nutty chocolate, caramel, peanut butter. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, thick, fluff, dark chocolate, tangy berries, marshmallow, bitter dark chocolate. Dark berries. Palate is medium sweet, thick intense dark bitter roast, mellow carbonation.

On tap at Peders. Pours black with a minimal head. Chocolate, peanuts, caramel on the nose. Flavour has peanuts, chocolate, caramel, very little barrel character. Not particularly complex, a bit disappointing.

Bottle at CBJ tasting, thanks to Dan. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly dark tan head. Soft rich slightly viscous palate, modest fine carbonation, fine for this style. Viscous thick chocolate malts, a savoury nutty vibe stands in pleasant contrast. Rich ripe fruity rounded bourbon. Airy smooth finish brings chocolate liqueur and mild spice. Truly decadent.
