Keg at Great Ocean Road Brewhouse, Apollo Bay. Almost smoked aroma and taste with British Isles type of (jamtlnad milky) feel. Not bad as it actually has a good sweetness that offsets the rough edges.

330ml bottle into glass. Pours a deep red/copper. White head which disappears. No carbonation. Malt aroma, caramel malt taste. Finish is more malt with a little smoky fruitiness. Easy drinking ale.

Bottle. Nutty caramel aroma chestnut , low head Medium light body, mellow mouthfeel , light sticky. Sweet caramel dominates, light roast , candied apples. Hop hard to detect, not to my taste.

Tap at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, sweet malt, ripe fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter with a soft fruity light resin hop palate. Moderate to light bodied with soft carbonation. I’m no fan of red ales, but this is one of the better ones I’ve had.

From a 330ml bottle on 17/12/2011. Pours a clear dark reddy amber with a fine medium head. Has a slightly curious aroma of red cordial. The flavour is very subtle, with berry fruits and a touch of caramel and toffee malt. Has mild carbonation and a moderate bitterness. Fairly easy to drink and has a bit to it, but not quite enough to make it really praise worthy.
