Keg at the MTB tap takeover at the Fox, Haggerston, 29/01/15. Murky orange amber with moderate off white edgeing. Nose is melon, apple pie, caramel, light spice, bread dough. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, toasted bread, pale malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness, slightly astringent. Ok GB but not up to par with all the others on offer this evening.

The Fox. Tap takover. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is crisp and semi dry. Airy pale malts, not that sweet. Little hop skunk. Carbonated sting. English apples over a mild citrus. It’s okay but the weakest on show tonight.

Keg at the Fox - London. Pours unclear gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds grainy pale malts, ripe lemon. Light-medium sweet flavor with further pale grains, damp hay, rindy old lemons. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Some grassy bitterness on the finish, pale grainy bread, pine needles, more lemon rind and mouldy hay. Eh.

Cask stillage at the Birmingham CAMRA festival 2014. Poured a clear straw colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is big orange citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a citrus big hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
