Inspired by the thick layers of Buxton's famous limestone quarry, this Black Forest Pancake Stout has stacks of flavour. Rich and malty with satisfying hints of sweet cherry and decadent chocolate.

Can from Great Grog. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of cherry and cake. Taste is vanilla ice cream, cherry and cake again. Too sweet. If you want beer to taste like this then you have the palate of a small child.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl.
Appearance - opaque black and crude oil in look. Beige head.
Nose - pancake, peanut butter jelly and other synthetic nonsense.
Taste - more of the same synthetic bollocks.
Palate - medium bodied, sweet and sickly.
Overall - Buxton you're better than this.

Very sweet, as you’d expect. Rich cherry on the nose and flavour. Gooey chocolate, light roast, genera dark malt oomph. Boozy heat. Creamy, lightly sticky. Sweet, warming finish, ample chocolate-covered cherries. Fun stuff.

Can. HOTM online. Doesn’t make sense this. Black Forest stout, yes. But buttermilk pancake on top? Fucking nonsense. Whatever. And what have you. As my mum in law used to say. Greasy black. Smells of Black Forest gateau. Then there’s some pancake bollocks. Taste is pancake bollocks. Some nice cherry thing, albeit it’s never seen a real cherry. Slick as fuck. Headache tackle writ large. Smashed it tbf.
