You can have a session IPA and a quadruple IPA... why can't Pilsners have the same fun! This is a bigger-maltier-hoppier expression of crackery Pilsner malt, citrusy Tettnang hops, and clean lager yeast! Fine you caught us... it's really just a Helles Bock... but we figured the people who don't read the descriptions all the way would be more interested in something called "Imperial Pilsner."

Can shared by Joe, thanks! Pours a clear gold with visible carbonation and a thin white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains and a touch of honey and light hay coming through. Flavor has sweet grains and light straw with a bit of honey underlying.

Aroma has notes of dough, grass, asparagus, chalk. Taste has a firm herbal bitterness backed by unobtrusive bready malt sweetness, finishing dry. If it's a heller bock, it's much more bitter than the style calls for. If it's an "imperial pilsner," I suppose it fits, although it's much more bitter than most pilsners. Has a lingering light alcohol burn.
