(Keg at OlutExpo 2013) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts, roasted malts and hops. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, burnt malts, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Afteraste was burnt, roasty and bitter. A tasty but a bit too burnt brew.

Draught @ OlutExpo 2013
Pours pitch black with a foamy head. Aroma of roasty malts, grassy hops and fruits. Taste is smooth, roasty and hoppy with notes of dark chocolate and licorice. Finish is hoppy, bitter and roasty. Okay black IPA.

Aroma has resiny notes, hops, some wood and hints of vanilla. Also hints of hay. Flavour has hay, licorice, ash and some woody notes. Just too woody, this hop profile does not match with my tasting buds. And now I just noticed that this is listed as a Porter and not Black IPA. Why?

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 27 Sep 2013) Very dark brown colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of coffee, chocolate, pine needles and grapefruit. Malty, hoppy taste with pine needles, resin, chocolate, coffee and a solid piney/cocoa bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Very tasty and quite well balanced beer on the borderline between a well hopped porter and a black IPA. Lovely beer!

Draught (Stockholm Beer Festival 2013) - Dark brown, almost black. Coffee and roasted malt in the aroma. Roasted and chocolatey taste with cocoa, liquorice and coffee standing out. Nicely balanced and easy to drink for the strength.
