Super hazy, bright golden coloured body with a strong raw honey glow and a pretty nice three centimetre tall just off-white head that's fairly soapy but fades relatively quickly. Aroma of oranges, light hay and grass, flowers and some noticeable slightly grainy malts, with a dash of yeast and bread at the end. Medium-bodied; Strong malts dominate up front with a pretty dry and grainy, bitter malt characteristic that seemingly comes out of nowhere and ends with some deeper grassy and blood orange/grapefruit citrusey components without any sugars or softer balance. Aftertaste is super dry, quite potent and bitter throughout, with most of that originating from the malts, but of course some deeper hop bitterness is here, too. Overall, a pretty old-school, grassy and dry IPA that happens to be unfiltered, but lacking some of the more robust, balancing characteristics that you have more often, but this is still nice to try...just once, at least - locally. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Ye Olde Spirit Shoppe in Frederick, Maryland on 02-February-2023 for US$5,39 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-June-2023.
