An underrated and uncommon variety, developed at the Long Ashton Research station in Somerset, ABJ is a very low acid, high tannin fruit with leathery and spicy notes! Overlooked by many as the tree takes almost twice as long as an average apple to begin cropping, when it does, the fruit is very high quality. Heavily russetted, small and full of late season apple sugars, it makes for a fantastic cider. 500ml. 7%.

500ml bottle from Cat in the Glass. Golden colour, foamy white head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of apple & mucky funk. Taste is tangy, appley, funk, fruity, woody, with drying astringent tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry bitter tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
