Hazy golden amber color. Light white head. Big rye and citrus nose. The mouth is pleasant with lots of rye notes and fruity character , but I am sure it used caramel malt which doesn’t work that well in this beer and distracts from what is going on. I would like to see a beer like this use Crystal Malt. Also the hops aren’t bitter enough. Starts with good promise, but the mouth fell apart a bit and finish is fairly mediocre.

Tap at the Euston Tap, 24/07/13. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a good sized off white head. Nose is grainy, pine resin, light hops, bitter orange, citrus, light minerals. Taste comprises a litte more depth than the nose suggests, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, rye bread, light pine, mineral notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dryish finish with a tropical fruit tang. Solid enough hopped up affair.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2013. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast more yeast and a little malt. The flavour is medium bitter, with some, alcohol liqourice and not much else. Perhaps it doesn’t need it.

Cask Pub & Kitchen. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Smooth palate, dry. Fine carbonation. Smooth malt, light cream. Pithy hops - orange and grapefruit. Maybe a trace of rye spice, could be hop spice. Finishes dry and bitter. Good, if a bit dry.

Cask @ The Caley, Edinburgh [110713]
Amber, clear, frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma of soft rye, soft grassy hops, sweet fruity pale malt background, soft tropical fruit hops
Taste as aroma, resinous hops, very light rye, fair amount of light caramel malts, touch of toffee
Palate - Medium body, fairly oily, soft mouthfeel. Bitter fruity linger, bit over bitter
Overall - Quite a decent beer, perhaps a bit over malty, liked the soft rye.
