Pours an amber colour, taste is extremely hoppy and very dry on the palate, very nice but couldn’t drink more than one without my palate exploding

Tap @ Slater’s, Wolverhampton. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, fruity and light hoppy - pine. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. Isn’t there supposed to be aroma hops in DIPAs? 280717

500ml bottle from Beerdock, as ’DOTTY DIPA double IPA’ 7.2%. Bottle filled right to the brim. Strong resinous hop aroma. Pours amber with big white head. A fair amount of chunky floating sediment. Taste is soft pine with a firm bitterness. Blend seems a bit disjointed.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2013. Poured a hazy chesnut brown colour with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is rich red berry fruit leading to a medium to strong bitter flavour with lots of spice, pepper and liqourice on the super smooth palate. A great DIPA I must say.

Cask at Craft Beer Rising. It pours hazy deep amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is pungent hop, farmyard, urine, citrus and earth. The taste is resinous, oily hop, earth, assertive bitterness, pithy citrus, salty wood and sherbet with a big bitter finish.Medium body, soft carbonation and slightly cloying mouth-feel. Big, brash and bitter...but definitely not elegent.
