10 Heads High is loosely based on our awesome 2011 Prototype beer Hops Kill Nazis.

This is an uncompromising 7.7% Imperial Red Ale loaded high with American Hops.

Think of this as an Imperial India Rd Ale, or a super-charged version of 5am Saint.

Either way this is a seriously good beer!

Bottle at Patricks. It’s a lightly hazy one, dark golden in colour and with a dark beige head of moderate size. Pineapple, herbs, pine cones and a citrus touch in the aroma. Pretty similar flavor, with the added joy of a good bitterness. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish. A pretty pleasant one, but sort of one dimensional. 131029

Bottle at home. Has a hazy and deep mahogany colour with a small beige head. Powerful hoppy aroma with dried apricot, pine and black currant. Lots of hops in the flavour as well with some roasted malt, wood and leather. Rich and smooth mouth feel, and a medium to heavy bitterness. The hops dominates this beer, maybe too much in my opinion since there is more interesting tastes in the background.
