A joyfully flavoured smooth, strong, aromatic ale that is dangerously easy to drink. This rich gold ale is Craddock Brewery’s most favoured beer.

Cask at the Duke William during the RateBeer Black Country Bus Bash. Pours clear yellow with a light, creamy white head. Nice citrus hop aroma with lemon and tangerine especially. Light sweet flavor with moderate dry dough, more lemon, more tangerines. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly sweet on the finish with decent sugary dough malts and lemon meringue. Good one.

Black country beer bash. Cask at the Duke William. Light golden colour with a persistent white head. Light citrus nose, bready malt. Nice clean grassy hop bitterness. Drinkable enough, but lack depth.

Cask at the Duke William, Stourbridge on the Rate Beer Black Country Bash - 06/07/13. Clear golden with a decent sized off white cap. Nose is toasty malts, light fruit, hint of yeast, orange notes. Taste comprises bread dough, summer fruits, bready malt, light sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, bitter notes in the finish. Ok drinkable affair but doesn’t carry much depth of flavour for a 5.4% number. I wouldn’t look to revisit this one - as with all of the Craddocks offerings I sampled - just a bit too basic and this one scored highest!
