Cask at the Wellington, Brum at the tale end of the RB Black Country Bog peeping extravaganza, 06/07/13. Clear dark amber/copper with a very thin off white head. Nose is dark malt, bready notes, fruit loaf. Taste comprises dark fruits, toffee, sugars, bready malts. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry fnish with a little bitternss. Ok - had this as more of a bitter than a GB.

Black Country Beano. Cask at the Wellington. Clear amber beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Mild minerals. Light papery malt, a little caramel that turns sweeter. Light dried fruits. The dullest Golden ale all day - and we had loads!

Draft at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear amber with a broken white head. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is weak bitter, malty with a watery, slightly hoppy bitter palate. Not a classic.
