Keg at the source. Hazy-opaque gold. Light. Thin frothy white head. Aroma has herbs and a light vinous sourness. Underlying porridge. Flavourwise it's got a bitter core and a sour streak. Underlying bready malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Sediments. Soft restrained fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Good stuff.

Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy amber body with a few flecks beneath a thin off-white head that fades. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of pomegranate and caramel. Flavour of cranberry and pine. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Light fizz. A slightly rough-around-the-edges IPA.

Bottle at home, 18th July 2025. Pours an odd brown pinkish colour, big head with a pink tinge to it - really weird. The taste is sweetish, berries, not bright at all. Probably the worst Kernel I’ve ever had and I’ve had 300 or so, it’s still drinkable - but surely not as it’s supposed to be. Many on Untappd saying the bottles are oxidised ?

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy golden - blonde with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, juicy, tropical, pineapple chunks, mango & lime, papaya, orange squash and tangerine. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, pleasing bitterness which lingers, pithy, zesty, orange peel, tangerine, grapefruit, kumquat, pineapple, mango, peach, touch green, weedy edge, light spice and some boozey warmth to support the fruit. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Bright and super fruity. Tasty.

Pours a a mildly hazy amber, decent pale tan head. Appearance not commensurate with style. Taste is slightly caramel malts and cream and ripe fruits, a little berry fruits. Airy semi dry finish. Dunno what has happened here but, it's wrong every which way to Sunday.

Lovely beer. Ample white grape, melon, jammy tangerine, light rindy bitterness, supportive pale malts, southern hem vibes. Just a little sticky and dank. Great balance. Super.
