Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear clear amber with a broken white head. The aroma is hugely fruity and malty. The flavour is medium bitter and fruity with a nice bitter aftertaste. An extremely refreshing ale.

Cask-conditioned at the winter beer festival, the Three Tuns, Bristol 23/2/2013. Amber coloured with a frothy, off-white head. Big, apricot, orange and lemon fruits, a touch of biscuity malts, leading to a hoppy, dryish finish. Excellent.

Cask, gravity, Merton Winter Beer Festival Feb 2013 w/e of Friday 15th, Saturday 16th February 2013 We (me & Loz) tried this alongside Buxton American Rye the latter ran out the winner but this ran it a very close race. Pours gold with a playful sparkly, spritzy, bubbly white head. The aroma was superb, floral but with some soft summer fruit such as apricot and peach, fresh and alive. The taste was possibly a little more subtle than I expected but still wonderful, fruity with elements of tropical fruits combining with a sharp edge of citrus, not sure that I necessarily get grapefruit as per description but there is definately citrus of some undetermined description. Clean, crisp and leaves you wanting more, quality beer from Salopian. A9 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 4.0
