Bottle from Oakes Farm Shop, Balsall Common. Pours a mostly clear dark gold/light amber with small white top. Aroma of biscuit, honey, citrus pith, pine. Taste of syrupy honey and citrus pith notes, biscuit, light dry mineral finish, moderate bitterness. A bit of a standard-traditional gold ale. Not bad at all but nothing special.

Bottle from Warwick Real Ale. Appearance - bright orange with a little haze. Nose - dried orange and brown bread. Taste - again bready and orangey. Burnt bread on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied. Tangy middle with a finish that is a little sweeter than hope for. Overall - ok.

Bottle from Bernieโ€™s Real Ale Off License, Solihull. The aroma is hugely malty with hints of toffee. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with lots of malt but little else. The palate bitterness was acceptable and ensured that the beer was tasty and refreshing.

Cask at the Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear yellow with a small, white foam head. Sweet aroma with biscuity malts, straw and hay. Flavor, too, is sweet, with lots of hay, crackery and biscuity malts, light honey and white sugar. Light in body with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, some floral hops, honey, dough, biscuit malts, a little straight sugar. Very easy, this fella. An ultimate sessioner.
