Cask @ Coach & Horses, Shrewsbury. Lacked a little flavour for a Christmas beer.. got a little citrus from the hops and possibly some spice if I searched hard enough, but generally felt a bit lacklustre.

Cask at The Fountain, Walsall. Poured a clear golden brown with a thick long-lived white head. The aroma is rich and malty. The flavour is medium bitter and much the same as the aroma. The hoppy bitterness sits nicely on the palate. This is a great smooth session bitter rather than a Christmas ale. I’d order a second pint so it must be good!
