440ml can. Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma dark malts, dark chocolate, treacle, caramel, liquorice. Taste is much the same, rich dark malts, dark chocolate, treacle, liquorice, caramel, roast malt bitterness and warming booze at the end. Medium-full bodied, smooth. Very good effort for their first stout.

Keg at CBJ. Opaque dark brown beer, small dark tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Rich if, for the style, fairly light bodied dark malts. Estery sweetness, a little dark malt cream. Mellow chocolate. A little spice on the semi dry finish. Alright. Won't live long in the memory.

On tap at Craft Beer Junction. Pours nearly black with a tan head. Toasted dark bread and booze on the nose. Flavour has toasted bread, caramel, and a thick chewy toffee character. Very rough and unbalanced; needs a lot of work.

Can from Bottle & Stoat in Southampton. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head shrinks away. Flavourwise it has dark chocolate and a chocolate liqour type thing. Some dark fruit sweetness. As does aroma. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation.
