Keg at Cloudwater. Oily black brown beer, good dark tan head. Airy smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, slightly bitter dark chocolate. Mild caramel. Mellow coffee. Whisper of maple. Smooth finish. Whiskey barrel? Some whiskey soaked ripe fruits and some alcohol spice. Tasty, couldn't drink a pint.

Pitch black topped with a dirty tan cap that hangs around.
Nose is dark malts, chocolate, vanilla, spice, charr, mellow barrel tones.
Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, chocolate shavings, sultanas, spice, liquorice, modest barrel, roasted bite.
Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy sipper if perhaps lacking some barrel edge.

Pours jet black with solid dirty tan head. Loads of chocolate brownie, candied apple, roast malt, liquorice, coconut, boozy barrel notes. Really rich and definitely filthy. Well balanced. Delicious!
