Tap at Hathor. Weird. Grassy, bit twiggy, weird weizen banana element, feels a bit watery. Some sugar too, pretty flat. Not sure about this at all.

Can from Lawson Natural. Clear deep golden color. Sticky white head. Aroma’s: spices, yeast, caramel malts. Flavor is herbal/spicy, fruity, caramel-malty. Light bodied, but not thin. Finish is lightly bitter. Pleasant enough.

Poured into SA Perfect Pint glass showing golden hues and moderate filtration with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of sweet floral malts. The palate shows is full bodied and moderately carbonated showing alot of the same flavors. A lot of Belgian yeastiness to it and a pleasant sweetness that seems more akin to a malty lager than a typical Belgian.

Can from Lawson. Drank straight from the can. Light grass aromas with some floral hop notes. Taste is fairly dry and crisp, but has good malt balance. Kind of boring and didn’t really get much Belgian character at all. It was just OK. --- Beer merged from original tick of Getsumen Gaho (月面画報) on 09 Oct 2015 at 19:24 - Score: 6

This is a beer made exclusively for Amazon Japan but I’ve seen kegs in bars from time to time. I got a six pack and my wife drank the other 5 so I guess she liked it. Served in a tulip. An orange copper with a filmy off-white head. The nose is nice, a welcoming spicy belgian wheatiness with a good fruity character. Round soft carbonation. The taste is wheat, spice, fruits, a bit of metallic brett like character, a bitter finish but maybe some buttery character hiding in the layers of flavor. Pretty good.

Tap at Popeye. Orange-amber, clear, fine head. Spicy nose, stone fruits, orange, biscuit. Very spicy flavor and somewhat astringent. I guess it’s unspiced, but very spicy. Ok.

350 ml can. I guess you can get this one only from Amazon. Pours clear amber, filtered, nice white foam head, leaving some lacings. Looks sessionable. Aroma is fruity, has this Belgian yeast thickness to it but at the same time there are hops shining though as well. Unfortunately some soapiness too. Taste is soft, clean, has some Belgian candy sugar notes and fresh hop character at the same time. Very drinkable, clean and refreshing. This would make a nice hanami beer.
