Can. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of grass and dank citrus with some earthy grains and a hint of umami. Flavor combines earthy grains and grass with some straw and citrus underlying.

Sample at Ten Sushi #35 in Seattle. Slightly hazy golden color with a medium thick white head that dissipates gradually to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of fruit, hops and smoky grains. Medium body with a fruity character and notes of hops and smoky/savory malt. The finish is mildly smoky and fruity with a slightly hoppy aftertaste. Unique, decent beer overall.

12 o can poured, picked up at Garden Path. Interesting beer here, and one that I learned a few things from. About Umami. Bonito. Sorry. Probably a top ten most unique brews I've had, that's for sure. Golden orange pour, barely a haze note to it. A bit of a dry straw like grain to it, with a touch of plastic. All I can say is that this brew is strange. Could be much worse. Just strange.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours bright gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of citrus/evergreen with something suggesting herb? mushroom? It's a pleasing aroma. Med body or so. Flavor is somewhat like the aroma, but there's a strong flavor I'm not familiar with. Mushrooms is the best I can do. Quite a different, but interesting, drink. Clearly drinkable.

Can. Hazy pale. Not much head. On the nose, there's a little bit of smoke, and some fruity stale hops. There's some smokey notes, some sweet malts. Not much brightness, just earthy hops with a slight accent. I mean, you can drink it, but what the contribution of the bonito is minimal at best.

33 cl can at "home". Clear golden yellow color. White head with some lacing. Aroma’s: some resin, something, ehm, fishy? Retronasal it’s bitterish, sweetish, savoury, funky (fishy). Flavor is light sweet, light bitterish, a bit weird. Medium bodied. Finish is light funky, light bitter. Interesting, but not really satisfying.

12 ounce can from ABV. Pours a clear yellow color with a large white head. A big pils malt toasty nose. Light citrus, grassy, hmm is that bonito I’m not sure really, grassy toasted malt. Pretty smooth. Light and easy. Good.
