Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with an OK bubbly orange-brown head. The aroma is very hoppy with notes of grapefruit, grass, and pine needles, on a sweet background. The flavor is sweet malty and to start off with notes of caramel and roasted bread, but this is fastly overpowered by the hops with strong notes of grapefruit and pine needles, which carries thru to a very dry and quite bitter end, with a note of berries lingering together with the pine needles - reminds me of a pine forest in the autumn.

Bottled. A bit unclear, amber beer with an off-white head. Fruity and piney aroma with a rich maltyness with some beefstock notes and hops. Hops, malt, sweetness, pinecones and some citrus in the flavor. Full-bodied and sugary mouthfeel. Long piney finish. A bit on the hoppy side, could use a bit more balance. (060921)

I thought this was a surprisingly nice beer, expecting a boring amber but was rewarded with a nice pale ale (just because something is amber in color doesnβt mean its an amber and not a pale ale). I know thereβs been some hating directed toward the combo crystal malt and hops recently, but this one works for me! The crytal malt is lightly sweet, with a very clean fermentation profile. The hops are nice and grapefruity, providing a medium strength citric counterpoint. Finish was balanced. A well done drinkable beer with malt and hop flavor to boot.

Bottle pours a clear.. well... amber. Nice full chunky off white head. Thick spotty lacing. Woody, slightly bitter aroma. Not a sweet as other ambers. Rather bitter flavor as well. Slightly harsh for the style and a soft carbonation. Thanks fo the trade lukin013

[Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] Dark copper colour, small head. Light grapefruit aroma. Medium sweet with light-medium body. Clean somewhat mellow mouthfeel. Soapy finish with medium bitterness. Like a brewpub chain erd ale, but perhaps with a tad more aroma.

Bottled. Reddish copper brown, small off-white head. Bready, malty aroma. Carbonated sweetish malty and backed with "typical" "Avery hops" (Cascade it is). Very refreshing and very American.
