We burned the midnight oil collaborating with our friends at Weldworks Brewing Co to create one of the biggest beers we’ve ever brewed. A massive stout stuffed with specialty malts matured for 18 months in special Parker’s Heritage Whiskey barrels, the final blend radiates with sweet flavors of dark chocolate, caramel, roasted coffee, vanilla and whiskey.

2024 bottle, drunk 1/23/26, as pictured.
Big mix of rich malts showing big fudge, vanilla, dark chocolate, soy and caramel with layers of fairly elegant whiskey. Moderate spice, lots of cherry and a surprising lack of alcohol.
Pretty damned syrupy stuff, per Medianoche. Super maraschino-forward barrels with lingering spice/acidity, and a good deal of malt complexity. It may be syrupy, but it's not cloying/sugary. Though of course, it's on the sweeter side, given all this malt. Shocking how little strength of the alcohol/gravity is felt here. Goes down a bit too easily....

Taster at the Weldwerks Invitational, 2025. Pours black, with a small, bubbly, tan head. The nose is sherry, walnut, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and pine. Sweet and grainy, with a mellow, earthy bitterness. Heavy body, sharp, and sticky. Nice, aggressive, and complex enough.
