If you sit down for a pint with Quincey, it won’t be long before he slips into storytelling mode, sharing tales of his runs around San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and treating himself to a pint of Anchor Steam afterwards. A beer that was – and still is – synonymous with San Francisco is Anchor Steam, a California Common style that inspired this recipe.

Pacific Heights pours amber in colour, it was slowly conditioned at cold temperatures using lager yeast. You can expect a bold yet balanced profile, with earthy, floral notes and a touch of spice and citrus fruits. A strong malt backbone provides subtle nutty and caramel sweetness, while the crisp, dry finish leaves you ready for another sip.
