Our dense and devastating imperial stout aged in Stagg Jr. bourbon barrels for 12 months. Brewed with malted oats and a profusion of specialty malts. No more time. No more breath. No more hope. No more dawn. Only Void. Notes of toasted walnut, vanilla, cherry cola, blackstrap molasses, and salted caramel.

12oz bottle drunk 8/17/25.
Dark, clear, small, light tan head quickly to edge.
The Stagg is round, soft, spicy and juicy with brown sugar and black pepper. No booze but lots of vanilla.
Biscuit, toast and vanilla with light roast and a pretty light body. Big bourbon and no issues there, but the body is just a bit thin for the abv. Very dry, with toast and roast. I don't need a syrupy, monster body, but this is just too light. It exposes the roast and tannin. Beany at points.

Bottle shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque black with light viscosity, no head, no lacing. Aroma is strong woody, peaty malt, nuts, bourbon, light molasses. Taste dominated by bourbon, flavors as aroma, dark fruit. Smooth texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation and finish as taste, no sign of alcohol. Nice complexity and good balance.

375 ml. 2024 vintage. Aroma of molasses, malted barley, smooth sweet bourbon. Flavor has a charred / ash characteristic with some mild vanilla from oak, malted barley, melted caramel. Bourbon is not hot but here in force. Hints of tobacco and leather. Nice sipper.
