The Parking Lot Grissette is a foeder-aged, tart farmhouse ale brewed in collaboration with our friends at Jester King Brewery. Like so many of our ideas, this rustic beer, dry-hopped with Mandarina Bavaria and Huell Melon, was dreamed up in a parking lot session during a climbing trip with our Texas friends.

Sampled from bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Gathering Ulfborg 2016, Day 1. Hazy orangy color, average sized white head. Aroma is a bit sweetish and yeasty with a touch of hops in the background. Taste however is sourish, tart, sourish fruitpeel. Too much for me. I like the aroma but the flavor isn’t my thing.

10th July 2016. Bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting Part 2: Brew Pub Le Sec. Hazy orange/amber pour, soft white head. Citric fruit nose with some spicy notes: taste similar with the malts just about keeping the hops in check.

(500ml bottle from boxbeers.dk) Pours hazy medium orange with an average white head that settles down to some patches on the surface. Aroma fruity, fairly sour and rather funky. Notes of apples, white grapes, tart orange, grass, wet funky straw, some oaky vanilla and melon. Flavour is quite tart and lactic but light and brisk. Fruity notes of peach, white grape, unripe mandarin, citrus pith, melon. Finish is crisp and mineral, light drying grassy, woody bitterness, some lemon. Light body with high, prickling carbonation. Hop and yeast/bug profiles seem well-matched, refreshing if not super intense. Very easy-drinking.
