Milk chocolate malt and dry hay aroma. Black with nice brown head. Lightly sweet smoky coffee, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter dry grass flavor. Very light body. Decent, just light.

Dry-as-a-bone stout, heavy on the roast and coffee notes, backed up by anise, bakers chocolate, and an undertone reminiscent of frankincense. The dryness is intriguing--rare these days to have a stout this resolutely opposed to leaning sweet--but the lack of body is a minus, and a little more depth would be nice. Can't stop sipping this pint, though.
