A new year, new us batch of a fan favorite. For this experiment, we rested a saison wort on three red grape varietals, all grown in nearby Mars Hill by Stellar Farms. Then, we steeped the beer on a botanical blend of rose blossom, fennel pollen, dried kumquat, and gentian herb. It was dry hopped and lightly oaked. Expect a bright red beer with subtle tannins and juicy orange and campari notes. Surprisingly refreshing and funky for such a complex brew!

First rate after they've been open a year. ...Oof. 8oz pour at the source. Clear, grape juice with a dense pink head as thick as egg whites. Grape skins, juicy, steel. Not a lot on the nose. Taste is more grape juice, less wine. Lemon, raw wheat, mild earth bitterness. Thin, crispy & filtered. Too simple but quaffable.
