The Bitter Queens. These English apples decided they wanted to be a Spanish-style cider. Well, I guess we’ll allow it. A mild volatile acidity, giving way to big apple flavors, with a soft oak finish. Though not exactly to style, the result is pleasing.

500ml brown bottle with fancy art from Press online. Mojito glass @home after a long sleep & short chill in the fridge. Half hazy, orange tea-amber pour, weak head. Rose-y, yeasty, sharps, papaya, table wine grapes; fun nose. Creamy, still, fruity Porter & Kingston forward, hot ferment, light but developing wild funk, hibiscus tart, cherry, Dabinett dragging the party down to earth but giving it texture, a popsicle stick & a ride back to the hotel. Oak & soft glue on the floor. This deserves some pet-nat, but we get it flat. Great, but could have been better.
