Behold the vibrant glare of life’s everlasting penchant for satisfaction’s zenith. We kneel before the temple of your desires and proudly offer you this gallant chalice. This cold black steel melds rich caramel and honey flavors with lactose sugars and just enough charred black malt to forge defining stout balance. The addition of a custom blend of roasted coffee beans, from Asheville’s PennyCup Coffee, offers bold roast, dark fruit and the mild smokiness that drives the aroma. Sip slow, sit long.

Substantial imperial stout, thick and rich yet lacking serious booziness, impressive with a 10% ABV. Deep veins of chocolate and coffee underlined by caramel and a firm mocha bitterness. Notes of cascara and anise peek through as it warms. Delicious.

16 oz. can. Black color with small tan head, no lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and bolder coffee. Taste heavy on coffee with chocolate, and a nice roasted backbone. Smooth texture, low carbonated, wonderful treat for coffee lovers! I can believe how much better this was over Skillet I sampled 2 minutes prior.

Tip Tap Room Boston tap: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is loads of espresso... that covers most of the aroma in the beer. Taste is like melted coffee ice cream... some notes of chocolate.

12 oz. can. Pours black, with a small, bubbly, beige head. Strong espresso, grainy cocoa, syrup, and heavy soil. Sweet, with a lot of roasted bitterness. Heavy body, with a chalky, syrupy, and thick mouthfeel. This is a strong, coffee forward stout. I don't even like coffee, and I could tell that this was made with good coffee. Very nice.
