Bottle from their cider club. Lo-ball @home after a long plane ride. Clear, ruby, quick off-white soda sizzle & then silent. Hibiscus, grape jam, Rose-y bitters. Fleshy, bright red dessert apples, corn sweetness & a whole lot of thin, intensely fruity & tannic wine grapes, sweet leeks, tiny bit of veg, lingering popsicle stick. Middle high acid, lingering tart. The little church pamphlet says 50/50 ratio of skins to apple juice. So, yeah, insanely wine-y, juicy, earthy fruit, desperate for a steak feels. Co-ferments are nothing new. This is all because of limited fruit year to year(& maybe some places finally caved & say okay, we'll try), but this one, from a leading brand, is particularly good. It particularly kills at a price point where low intervention wines can barely approach. Great.
