The late, great actor Bob McDuff Wilson once sent us a personalized inspirational message. In the message, he used a turn of phrase we had never heard before (nor can we find any record of ever being used)—but once we heard it, we knew we needed to make a beer in tribute: RUN OUT THE BUFFALOES.
So, a little over a year ago we took a stout blend that excited us and then selected a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel to house it. The aging added wonderful layers of chocolate, spirit, oak and char to the base, resulting in a clean - yet nuanced - full body sipper that didn’t need anything else. We hope you enjoy it.

30/XI/24 - 500ml bottle @ Jürgen’s place, BB: n/a, +12M B.A. (2024-1235) Thanks to Jürgen for sharing the bottle!
Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty oxidized, lots of whisky, bourbon, good roast, soy sauce, more roast. MF: ok carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: sweet start, good nice roast, lots of caramel, sugary, more caramel, chocolate notes, whisky, bourbon, vanilla, lovely! Aftertaste: more caramel, alcohol, roasted, bitter, sugary, very sweet, some soy sauce, vanilla, more sugary in the finish, lovely if maybe a little too sugary.
