12 oz. can, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose certainly brings out a lot of chai spice that dominates -- there's some roast underneath I guess. Flavour is surprisinly more dynamic, with cocoa, chai spice, molasses, brown sugar, and a little roast. The lactose adds just enough sweetness. Flavour is much better than the nose. Surprisingly good.

Another odd duck. The appearance and body are fabulous, the aroma is good but flavors are decent though kind of remind me of across between a stout and a pumpkin beer. Not bad but not looking forward to another.

Recently, Kyoto Isetan has some fun beers at ok prices. This was like 900¥ I think. Left Hand Nitro Chai Milk Stout Deep brown with a thick creamy light beige head of foam that’s dense. From the originators of nitro craft beer you get a classic nitro looking pour with a big sweet chai latte aroma. Less spice forward than lots of chai and sweeter with a tea element. Lovely soft body and creamy texture. This would make an awesome milkshake. However, it isn’t very beer like.

Nitro can from moody, thanks, I thought I ticked this before but no. Big fabulous pour from a pounder can. Seems to have a little gingerbread in there. Perhaps a little too cloying for my palate. No CO2 on the tongue of course. Difficult in the middle yet it hides its alky content well. Yes, would not buy this again, not really a beer as far as I'm concerned BWDIK? Hey, now I see some little particles and shit floating around near the finish. Somewhat rude ending. Glad its almost over, quite a beer tasting experience, unique. Certainly fits the style; milky darker choco-gingerbread sweet cloying stout. At least it does leave a nice memory for the eye.

13.65 ounce can into signature pint glass, best before 6/7/2019. Pours fairly hazy/murky very dark brown color with a 1 finger dense and creamy light khaki head that lasts the whole glass. Thick creamy lacing clings down the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, clove, allspice, nutmeg, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, smoke, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of chai spices, dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, clove, allspice, nutmeg, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted oats, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, smoke, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, roasted bitterness; and cinnamon, ginger, clove spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, clove, allspice, nutmeg, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted oats, dark/brown bread, coffee, smoke, herbal, grass, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of chai spices, dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; with great malt/bitter/spiciness balance; and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Light carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an outstanding spiced milk stout! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of chai spices, dark/roast/bready malts, lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the minimally bitter/spicy/drying finish. Amazingly soft/silky nitro finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Amazing balance between chai spices and classic milk stout flavors; not overwhelming on any aspect. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.

Tons of Cardamom, milky lactose, chocolate and cinnamon. Jet black with a rich beige head. Spice hit first with a thin but creamy mouthfeel. Spices out of balance for my taste.
