Bottle from the source. Amber with a frothy head. Aroma promises spruce with hints of orange peel and honey. Taste is mildly sweet up front with a herbal bitterness at the finish. Lingering spruce. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, easygoing. Pleasant.

Heller, trocken herber Start. Mittelstarke Bitterkeit, geringe Süße, getreidig. Trocken herb-bitter bleibend, frisch aber monoton, langer Nachhall. OK. 8/6/8/6/7/6

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, orange golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Pale malty, minimally doughy yeasty and minimally resinous, woody aroma with minimally soapy overtones, weak hints of honey and spruce. Taste is pale malty and mildly bitter, earthy and resinous woody, minimally floral, slightly doughy yeasty, hints of floral honey, spruce needles, increase of earthy flavours in the middle part, spruce, resin; finish is again more sweet-ish with hints of honey and higher intensity of floral flavours, minimally soapy interludes.
Slightly oily, watery texture, minimally dry palate with greasy extension, medium to coarse, prickly carbonation.
Not really disharmonious, but slightly heterogeneous, desintegrated and overall rather cautious - bummer!

0.33 l bottle from 'Beyond Beer', best before May 2026. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, a bit herbal aroma of grains, straw and traces of spruce. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently herbal and a bit grassy taste of grains, straw, some spruce and light honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Spruce is very hard to get, other than that a decent lager.
