Can from the internet. It pours slightly hazy chestnut brown with an off - white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, brown bread, malt loaf, nutty, cereal, raisin, sultana, carrot cake, warming spice and nutmeg. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, warming spice, hearty malts, brown bread, cereal, ryvita, nuttiness, carrot cake, oatcakes, leather and wood with a toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Nice depth of malt flavour. Classy stuff.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours hazy amber to brown with a cream-coloured head. Aromas of toffee and brown bread with light herbal hop. Taste is more bread, toffee, mixed peel and more of that herbal hop. Light roasty finish.

Can from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - amber or rather brown, creamy off-white head in a neat foam.
Nose - toffee and brown bread with some hop freshness.
Taste - malt loaf, burnt toffee and light herby hop.
Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle and light roast on the finish.
Overall - good example of the style.
