New Zealand through and through. Charged with Motueka Cryo, Motueka T90, and Nectaron (@freestylehops @nzhopsltd ).Skate brings a wilder, punchier profile. Expect bright lime zest, white grape, crushed basil, and sweet tropical fruit with a subtle herbal snap. There’s something raw and untamed in these Southern Hemisphere oils; zippy, expressive, and vivid.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of wheat malt, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, lime, lemon, pineapple, honeydew melon, oats, earthy yeast and herbal hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and delicious. I liked this slightly more than The Separation of Church.

Poured from 473mL can (side by side w/Separation of Church). Murky pale blonde with white head. Lots of gas fumes, tropical hops, gooseberries, not nearly as yeasty as Church. Significantly prefer Skate over Church. Decent.

Opaque, fluffy head. Medium bitterness, nice stone fruit and bright citrus from the NZ hops. Good. The malts are a bit weak, and that affects the balance a bit. But it’s not bad.
