Select barrels from this vintage of Temple of Minerva were aged for 21 months in bourbon barrels and then transferred to freshly dumped Cognac barrels to rest for 12 months, adding notes of coffee, dark dried fruits, and deep oak.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Opaque black brown beer with a small bubbly dark tan head. Remarkably light palate for the hefty abv. Decent fine carbonation. Thin bodied dark malts but punching hard with good dark chocolate. The double barrelling brings an abundant and pleasing savoury woodiness. Rich bourbon soaked ripe fruits, Cognac plays second fiddle but enriches marvellously! Fairly light finish brings a little bitterness. A superior brew that drinks way to easy for it's post vino abv.

Can at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, vanilla, woody, apple, oak, taste is similar, sweet, loads of barrel. 8/8/9/9/8

Can from Brew Export. The nose is fantastic as you'd expect -molasses, toffee,sweet tobacco, bourbon, nuts,oak.Oh man...toffee cake,creamy coffee ,bourbon, molasses, dark chocolate taste. Uber warming alcohol. Boozy sweet finish. Exquisite. Love this brewery!
