16 oz. can from Total Wine in Greenville, SC. Thanks Kathy! Pours a hazy yellow color with an off-white head and very good retention. Lots of scattered lacing. Light pale malt aroma. Light pale malt flavor too, mixed with a somewhat yeasty finish. Not a typical festbier profile. A decent Hefeweizen, but not a great Oktoberfest beer. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness. And the 6.5% ABV is warming, but mostly hidden.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Bright yellow gold color. Frothy white head. Aroma is bready malt and lemon. Flavor is more of the same. Bready malt, sweet citrus and grassy hops. Crisp and malty with a distinctive herbal hop finish.

Curious lager, with a blend of biscuit, bread, and toasted corn for the malts, followed by grass, lemon, and a undercurrent of brine and wet straw. Finished with a honey-tinged sweetness offset by flowers and hay. Hallertau bittterness is unexpected, but not unwelcome. Interesting, but I'm not sure I want another.

Draft at The Hop Shop. Clear golden color white head with solid lacing. Floral lemon aroma. Taste is bitter earthy citrus. Nice .
