AROMA: moderate sulphur aroma with notes of roasted malt (dark chocolate). very faint chestnut note. APPEARANCE: dark brown color with dark rubi body against light. medium light tanned head with good retention. TASTE: initial yeasty note, followed by slight sulphur and medium roasted malt (dark chocolate). medium bitterness with a dry and slight astringent finish. faint chestnut notes on the aftertaste. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: a brown ale with chestnut that is too dark and roasted with a slight astringency probably from the chestnut pith.
