AROMA: medium roasted malt aroma with a dark chocolate character. background of medium-low wood, vanillin and slight spirit. APPEARANCE: very dark brown colour and opaque with ruby highlights. Medium-large light brown head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: medium roasted malt flavour (coffee-like with slight chocolate notes), followed by faint woody vanillin. medium bitterness with a dry and roasty finish. PALATE: medium body with medium to medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a good american porter with subtle barrel notes on the flavour.
