Double Dry Hopped DIPA
Hāpi Sessions 2025, three collaborations, three breweries at the top of their game, three beers, each showcasing a different hop forward style in a playful ‘freestyle’ interpretation of one of the beers that helped to make each brewery famous.
Seattle’s favourite sons, Fast Fashion, fly in for a slice of Down Under Pizza. Decadent DDH DIPA, dripping with harvest fresh Motueka, NZ Cascade and a very special secret sprinkle of brand new Hāpi Research hop variety NZ02, delivers a ripe punch of passionfruit, lychee, lime and creamy peach.

440ml can from the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with big, lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, floral, tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, fresh, passionfruit, tart lemon lime, dry mineral, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can. Opaque brownish orange with a cm of white head. Startling tropical aroma with lychees, green grapes, lime, pineapple, passionfruit, grass. The vibrant fruity notes dominate the beer, and they don't really dovetail with the rest of what's going on (which isn't all that much). Little bitterness, some astringency at the end. Good of its ilk.
