A silky and robust Baltic porter reminiscent of raisin, burnt caramel, roasted coffee and molasses. Very malty and somewhat sweet, it finishes with a dry and balanced bitter taste. The aroma is molasses and malt. Like a moderately hopped bock, with chocolate and coffee notes. This brew is bottom fermented and well rounded, with its potency hidden in its easy-drinking quality. Rummy, raisin and licorice notes similar to an old ale reside in the profile. The character also has hints of chocolate and coffee, and at times, a roasted background.

330ml can. Clear, mahogany colour with ruby glimmer and small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge and dark caramel. Taste is sweet, dark and caramel malty, minimally roasty, notes of dark caramel, malt lozenge, some bitter hop; lingering, caramel malty and bitter hoppy finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth, soft and silky, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. More dark Doppelbock than Baltic Porter to me, undercomplex - not convincing.
