Draught keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Leicester. Mid-gold, clear with a thin film of off-white head. Light aroma of pine,a little grapefruit, some strong bitter orange. Sweet taste with a good little amount of hop oil bitterness. Kind of like a Westie dialled back that little bit, but still very enjoyable.

Keg at Tapps, Rhos. Obviously some confusion as the beer board stated this was a TIPA. Opaque-hazy copper gold. Thin foamy white head. Aroma has soft sweet edged fruit. Peripheral booze and resin. Flavourwise there an initial resinous bitter impact, followed by sweet canned fruit. Underlying malts. Booze. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. After the sweet aroma this was far punchier than I was expecting..Good stuff.

500ml can. Almost clear golden, white head. Aroma of pine, resin, grapefruit, marmalade. Taste is very piney and resinous, marmalade, grapefruit, hint of caramel, very bitter finish. Medium bodied. Great westie.

Can from Lupe Pintos. Golden body with a light haze and a thin white head. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of lime chutney and waxed lemon. Flavour of orange rind and pine. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A decent west coast IPA.
