Description
Founded in 1924 by Pierre Saugrain, he produced the Vallée de la Seiche cider until his death in 1953. He was followed up by Maurice Lemoine. Lemoine introduced new products ('cidre brut' & 'cidre demi-sec') and started commercialising by introducing bottled ciders (75cl, 37,5cl and 25cl). In 1991 Michel Maman took over the company when Lemoine retreated. In 2001 the Maman company further expanded the portfolio with 'cidre fermier' using the fruit from an orchard in Côtes d’Armor à Kerpellen near the settlement Trévérec.
Today La Vallée de la Seiche is an innovative fruit product company with a wide range of innovative products, such as Cidre Rose - cider aromatised with roses, Ratapoire - a pear equivalent to Pommeau de Bretagne, etc.
