Description
Formerly Brasserie Balzane, Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines.

Since 1596, this blonde has been part of the Normandy landscape. Brought up to date from the original recipe, the fine mousse of Norman heritage releases a beautiful roundness and hides a hint of bitterness behind its golden color.

Before disappearing, La Paillette has survived the centuries. From Henri IV to transatlantic cruises, passing through the industrial era and the bombings of the Second World War. It is more intrepid than ever that this Norman was reborn in Deauville (St Arnoult) in 2007.

On board ocean liners, La Paillette has traveled the world. They say its history is as old as that of bread. It is an authentic beer brewed in Normandy that combines roundness and bitterness. The straw is born from brewing by infusion, bottom fermentation and then a long cold maturation. In the 1950s, La Paillette was drunk not only throughout Normandy and western France but also across the world as it traveled on all the major transatlantics from Le Havre.
